First, I will be removing the Vendor Search from the site for a time, to see what the result is. As convenient as it is, and despite my pride in having created such a system, I think that it may be having some unintended, negative consequences. I will have some suggestions for players to overcome the loss of this feature, and other players who have not been spoiled by having this feature here for so long may also know what to do
Second, I will be adding an ability to set a vendor to be able to deal with Newbies only. Such a vendor will buy/sell only to newbie players.
Next, Newbie status will also take into account the age of the account, in actual play time. As a result, past a certain point, a player will no longer get newbie status at all on new characters. Note that we will continue to look closely for players creating multiple accounts against our policy.
Finally, I will be changing the buy-back of all items made by a certain craft to pay based on the number of resources the items take to make. This way, the price will be based on the actual amount of resources the crafter will get (They will need to set the price based on how much they get out of it). Also, prices for these buy backs will be able to be defined in tenths of a gold piece, to allow for more fine-tuning. Any fractional amounts from an individual sale will simply be dropped.
