What I saw tonight really has me confused and concerned for the old man Lvec Vallenwood. Im writing this in my journal to remember it completely so I may properly forward the strange occurrence to my fellow Knights and Keepers, for I believe it will eventually involve us all.
As I approached my house this evening I noticed Alonar standing out front talking to a woman I did not recognize. As I approached to make my introduction I heard her asking about the town and its defenses, and not only Lontish, but all cities of the people as well. I came upon them and asked what information she was looking for. As I studied her and her dress attire I spotted her gloves. I looked to Alonar and he seemed to know the same thing I knew. I called him out on his bluff.
"Your not fooling me Victor!"
It was the same man we had seen earlier that very day in New Shadowcove after the Shango attacked us. He showed his true identity to us and was quite displeased that we saw through his disguise.
"Where is the traitor?", he demanded more than asked.
We had no idea who he was going on about but when we asked.....we were in for quite a surprise.
"Lvec Vallenwood!"
Alonar and I looked at each other not knowing what to think of this stranger looking for the old one with obvious malicious intent.
We informed him we would not speak of Lvec with him, and he should just leave Lontish. Lvec has our full backing unless he could possibly prove to us Lvec was a traitor, he had no more business in our town.
"I will find Lvec Vallenwood and the gate!". With this statement Victor was gone in an instant using a recall spell.
Alonar immediately started looking for Lvec to find out just what was going on, who was this Victor, why does he want Lvec, and what is this gate?
We found Lvec in Lontish near the stables where he houses Nova his great Dragon.
We approached him and asked him of Victor.
His response troubles me still.
He turned very pale instantly, he fetched Nova from the stables and looked around quite shaken and said,
"NO Its to soon!".
We tried to get him to tell us who was Victor and what was the gate he was looking for.
But he wouldnt answer our questions, he was on edge and was uncharacteristically rude with us. We tried to calm him and offer our assistance. He only kept repeating "Its to soon" we pushed our point that we wanted to help and he should talk to us about this.
Still he refused. He called for Nova to follow him and cast a recall spell of his own. Leaving Alonar and I alone to ponder on this matter.
Lvec is my friend and I wish to help him. I WILL help him. I must go now to make my report to the Keepers Conclave and Cavthena.
