Shadowcove Dot-Commands
Shadowcove has an extensive list of dot-commands which perform various tedious or difficult actions swiftly and easily. It is recommended that players read over this entire list to see what all the options are! While you're at it, use the 'Printable View' option and print this sucker out!
Vital Commands
- .spec
- Opens your skill specialization book, where you may choose which skills you wish to use. You need to choose specializations before you can gain in any skills.
- .training
- Views your skill training point balance, and allows you to purchase more points (with gold).
- .options
- Autoheal, autocure, 'sell bag', and other important options.
Character Information
- .online
- Shows who's online
- .location
- Lets you choose a player to show you their location on the map (opens web browser)
- .profile
- Allows you to edit your own, or view another player's profile information.
- .where
- Gives your coordinates in X, Y
- .fix
- Puts you back on ground level if you're stuck
- .corpse
- Displays the location of your last corpse, if it still exists. Lets you open the web site to view its location as well.
- .deaths
- Shows how many deaths your character has suffered since they were tracked. This tracking started 4/2/2007.
- .mods
- Displays any temporary mods in effect on your character, and their duration.
General Commands
- .canloot
- Allow other players to be able to loot your corpse, if you die.
- .craftmessage maker|place|recycle
- Toggles whether you get the system messages when crafting. Options are for 'makers marks', 'you place the item in your pack...' and recycling, respectively
- .door
- Opens all doors within 3 tiles
- .itemid
- Views many vital details on an item. This command takes no skill, and shows you the magical and quality/repair properties of the item.
- .duel
- This command can be used to challenge other players to a duel. Only dueling players may attack each other in any way. More info.
- .point
- Allows you to target an item, person, or location for you to 'point' at, which will be visible to all in the area.
- .e [option]
- Performs an audible emote. The available options are listed here. Typing the command without an option shows you a list of the options.
- .quality [henchie]
- Checks the hit point percentage of all equipment you are wearing. A quick way to check if your stuff is wearing out! The literal option 'henchie' will present you with a targeting cursor you can use to target a henchman of your own whose equipment you wish to check, instead.
- .mount [mount|dismount]
- Mounts or dismounts you. Use without either option to toggle whether you are mounted or dismounted. Using one of the options 'mount' or 'dismount' tries only to do that action specifically; e.g. .mount mount will never dismount you if you are already mounted. Works with pets or 'pocket ponies'.
- .totem [name]
- Will activate the first totem (pocket poney or golem) that you have in your pack which has the exact name you entered.
Privacy Commands
- .private online
- Toggles you [private] in .online
- .private message
- Toggles you [private] for .msg/.reply.
- .private map
- Toggles you [private] for the .location command, and the web site map.
- .private all
- Can be used to set all three privacy options to the same setting.
- .quietdeath on/off
- Toggles whether or not your death is announced. This option is off by default (meaning death IS announced)
NPC Management
- .rename [new name]
- Allows you to re-name any of your NPCs.
- .vendors
- Shows the names and locations of all of your vendors.
- .pets
- Shows the names and locations of all of your pets, excluding summons and golems.
- .summons
- Shows the names and locations of all of your summoned pets.
- .totems
- Shows the names and locations of all of your golems.
- .petpoints
- Shows you how many points and what the skill check value is of an NPC. Also shows you your total maximum pet points allowed.
- .henchies
- Shows the names and locations of all of your henchmen.
- .henchies restart
- Allows a player to 'restart' one of their pets/henchmen that is 'stuck', and not responding to commands. The 'restart' option also exists for the .vendors and .pets commands.
Macro Heal Commands
These commands allow you to set them to client 'say' macros, so you can do these things without having to physically double-click something.
- .heal [potion|bandage|spell]
- Attempts to heal damage to yourself with the option named.
- .cure [potion|bandage|spell]
- Attempts to cure poison on yourself with the option named.
- .refreshpot
- Your character will drink a refresh potion, if you have any.
Town Mayor Commands
- .mayor lock/release
- Allows a mayor to lock/release in their town, within the limits indicated by the below command.
- .mayor count
- Displays a count of items currently locked down in the area.
- .mayor north/south/east/west/raise/lower
- Allows a mayor to move items within their town
- .mayor fix
- Allows mayor to get a town related NPC un-stuck from beneath a floor.
- .mayor restart
- Allows mayor to restart a town NPC who is not responding to commands
- .mayor door
- Allows a mayor to create a door to place in a building/fence area.
- .mayor destroydoor
- Allows a mayor to destroy a door created with the above command.
- .mayor sign
- Gives a mayor a town sign, which can be locked down and used to mark public buildings, or roads. Lock the sign down, then double-click it to use it. This sign may also be dyed, when locked down, with a dye tub.
- .mayor trash
- Gives the mayor a trash barrel, which may be placed and locked down within the town. Trash barrels also double duty as lost-and-found boxes.
- .mayor lostandfound
- Give the mayor a lost-and-found box to be locked down and used. When .own'ed items are placed in these boxes, they are returned to their owners.
- .mayor move vendor
- Allows the mayor to move a previously placed vendor.
- .mayor list
- Lists all the available mayor commands.
- .mayor
- Alone, this brings up a menu with all the mayor commands.
Skill Use Macro Commands
- .camping
- Searches your backpack for kindling to use to make a camp fire.
- .lastskill
- Use the last skill you picked out of the skillwindow without having to reopen the skillwindow again
- .lockpicking
- Search your backpack for lockpicks, and uses them.
- .sing [songname]
- For bards, use .sing [songname] with any of the following options: soothing song, mana hymn, song of shadows, dance of dawn, dirge of darkness, courageous melody, lyf's lullaby, song of discord, cacophony, warsong, marching song.
- .stop
- Causes you to cease many skill or ability loops you may be in the middle of. If .stop does not work, often taking a step or going into warmode will. The intent is for all 'looping abilities' to work under this system, but they must be added one-at-a-time.
- Other Skill Use Options
- Use any of these dot-commands to trigger use of the skill: .alchemy, .animallore, .detecthidden, .evalint, .hiding, .inscription, .meditation, .necromancy, .peacemaking, .poisoning, .provocation, .stealth, .taming, .taunt, .tracking
Communication
- .msg
- Shows list of current online players to send a message to
- .msg ignore
- Allows you to choose a player to 'ignore' messages from. You also can not send messages to them.
- .msg style
- changes the style of the gump into which you input messages.
- .reply
- Sends a message to the last person that .msg'd you. You can also type in ".reply (message here)" and the person you are replying to will get it
- .group [option]
- Interface to the Hunting Group System
Ownership Commands
- .own [bag]
- Places/removes your mark on an item. Using the 'bag' option automatically places your owner's mark on any item that can be owned in the targeted bag. If the bag already has an owner's mark it will be removed from the bag and all items in the bag.
Equip/Unequip Commands
- .arm
- Arms weapon/shield
- .arm #
- Arms weapon/shield # (1-9)
- .disarm
- Disarms weapon/shield
- .disarm #
- Disarms weapon/shield, and sets it to # (1-9) for the .arm command.
- .disarm bag
- Pick a bag to disarm/undress into
- .undress
- Will remove your clothes and jewelry
- .undress bag
- Allows you to set a bag to undress/disarm into.
- .undress jewelry
- Will remove your jewelry
- .undress nojewelry
- Will remove your clothes except jewelry
- .undress ring/ears/wrist/neck
- Will remove the appropriate item.
- .wear
- Allows you to target an object to attempt to 'equip' it.
- .wear #
- Attempts to equip a pre-set item. # is from 1-10
- .wear # set
- Allows you to set a pre-set for the above command. Select one item. # is from 1-10
- .wear # remove
- Attempts to remove the pre-set item and places it in your undress/disarm bag or your main inventory.
- .wear bag
- Sets your disarm/undress bag.
Pack Management Commands
- .inventory
- Gives you a list of everything in your backpack, and lets you select to move any item to your main pack.
- .craftbag
- Lets you set a bag within your inventory into which you will place all crafted items, and resources collected (such as ore and logs).
- .drop
- Lets you select an object in your pack to drop to the ground, at your feet. (for use in house basements)
- .count
- Counts items in chosen bag
- .reg
- Counts reagents and other resources, and displays the totals.
- .move
- Will move all items of the same name/color/type into a bag of your choosing
- .pour [recursive]
- Lets you pour out a single potion, or a stack of potions. The 'recursive' option allows you to target a bag. It will then prompt you on each stack of potions in the bag you target.
- .grab
- Loots items from corpse/ground. When you .grab items that have been .own'ed, they will be moved to the main level your backpack instead of your lootbag. This command will only loot hides and meats if you toggle .grab autocarve
- .grab bag
- Makes the targeted bag the default loot bag. Any grab'ed items will go in that bag.
- .grab gold
- Loots only gold coins and bars
- .grab mine
- Loots only items .own'd by you
- .grab tobag
- Overides having owned items placed immediately in your backback, only loots items that are owned and they will be placed in your loot bag
- .grab autostack
- Automaticlly stacks items looted with like items anywhere in your pack
- .grab autocarve
- Enables or disables the automatic *yoink* of animal hides or meat.
- .sort [option]
- Moves all items indicated by 'option' into a targeted bag. Valid options are: armor, cooking, drink, fish, food, gems, glowies, gold, hides, ingots, jewelry, locked, logs, magic, maps, mibs, mine, necroregs, ores, owned, potions, regs, scrolls, seeds, tools, weapons
- .dump
- Dumps items from one bag to another
- .dump sort
- Moves items from one container to another, but any stackable items that are being dumped that you have elsewhere in your elsewhere in your backpack will be autostacked with the other items.
- .dump recurse
- Dumps the contents of containers in the selected bag into a new bag. A good example of this is you buy 3 bags of 200 regs each from a mage shop. if all 3 of these bags are in 1 bag you can dump the contents of all 3 bags into your reg bag
- .dump recurse sort
- You can also say .dump sort recurse. A combination of sort and dump recurse.
- .restock #
- Use to restock a container from another one, with # being how many you would like to end up in the destination container. Will always leave at least one of each item in the source container (even if only one exists, and it's in the destination - it will actually remove it from the destination, in that case) # defaults to 100, and cannot be set over 60,000 or below 1. This command only works on 'stackable' items. (more info)
